The Leaders Letter (TI Version)
GOOD Day! Happy Day to All!
Greetings from the DvPRO Desk,
On 7th August 2012, I believe every members in the family should have received an email all the way from the state, reminding us on what to do and deadlines for the month. This is one way for TI to help remind us on urge task due to our day to day hectic schedule.
Worry NOT, I am not going to repeat everything from the email to bored everyone to sleep. I just wanted to hand pick what is relevant to the club & division to help keep track of what's concern us. Here goes (Obviously I am copy & pasting):
Division & Area Governor News
Club Officer Training by August 31
Clubs whose officers regularly attend training are more successful. That's why twice-annual club officer training is one of the Distinguished Club Program goals. Please complete the first round of training by August 31, and submit reports through District Central by September 30.
Division and Area Governors Training Report Due September 30
Please submit your Division and Area Governors Training Report bySeptember 30 to meet the prerequisite for the Distinguished District Program.
Area Governors: Support Your Clubs Through Visits
Each district must establish and maintain positive, supportive relationships with their clubs. Area governors play a critical role in creating this relationship through club visits, which are required twice a year. To meet one of the qualifying requirements of the District Recognition Program, please submit an Area Governor's Club Visit Report (Item 1471) for at least 75 percent of the clubs in your area. Please begin visiting clubs, and use Serving Clubs Through Visits: A Guide for Area Governors (Item 219) to help you prepare for an effective visit.
Club News
Clubs: Show Off Your Brand
The first of six winners of the "Clubs: Show Off Your Brand!" contest will receive worldwide recognition this month! Take a photo of your club members with your newly branded Toastmasters materials and email the photo to brand@toastmasters.org by the end of August for your chance to win. For more information, please visit www.toastmasters.org/
brandshowcase.
Is Your Club Difficult to Find?
Help prospective members find your meeting by updating your club information online. Confirm that your club's meeting location and contact information is current, and include a regularly monitored phone number and email address.
Assign Your Club Proxy
Toastmasters clubs hold the most important voting power in the organization. In May, proxies for the Annual Business Meeting at the International Convention were emailed to all 2011-2012 club presidents and secretaries. New club officers: Please make sure your club has decided who will carry your club's vote at the meeting. District governors: Please encourage club leaders to designate their proxies.
Public Relations Training Webinar
Toastmasters International will hold a live webinar for public relations officers and vice presidents public relations on September 18, 19 and 20. The informative session will provide helpful tips on how to create and communicate the latest news about Toastmasters to your audience. More information will follow.
It's Time for the Smedley Contest
Help your clubs prepare for this year's round of the original membership-building contest named in honor of Toastmasters' founder, Ralph C. Smedley. The Smedley Award competition started August 1 and ends September 30. For more information and contest rules, visit www.toastmasters.org/
membershipcontests.
I hope everyone will be reminded again on the deadlines which concern you. Let's achieve a greater height because Together We Can Achieve Greatness.
P/S: If you have not received any news as per above, kindly update your email with TI's system and let's us know' / area governor to forward you a copy for more details on the what's happening in TI.
By the way, the picture above is NOT me... =)
